Alvin’s Inspection of the car recommended $2,000 of repair. I took the car to my regular mechanic and he said all the parts were functional and have 20k to 30k of life left on them. The issues were cosmetic in nature. It seems like they are trying to “up sell” to make money at customers expense. Better clarity and definition of the findings would have helped.

Alvin’s Auto Center is an auto shop that has always treated us fairly. Their work on our vehicles has been completed on or before the time we were given to have the work finished. Tony is willing to explain everything on the estimate clearly so even someone that doesn’t know much about car engines understands what is needed. He will address the reason the car was brought to him and also give preventative maintenance suggestions. The entire team at Alvin’s, on Lincoln Ave, treats their customers in a professional and respectful manner.

Anthony, thanks again or the excellent work! My 2005 Grand Dodge Caravan is running well following the replacement of its power distribution center. This was my first time at Alvin's Auto Center. I was treated very professionally and was kept informed through out the car serving about any things extra which might need further attention. I left my car and they finished in great time and notified me when I could come by to get the car. I found this Auto Center to be nor only professional but also very HONEST.
