I brought my MDX in after I had some codes go off. Tony helped me with pulling the codes and doing an inspection on the car. My car story is a long, stressful one which I won't bore you all with. BUT, I must say how impressed I was with the service and helpfulness I got at Alvin's that I didn't get at the Acura dealership. I'm bringing my business here from now on and not the dealership.

I went in to get my 2001 Mercedes ML 320 safety inspection done since I recently inherited it from my sister. This has to be one of the most courteous and down to earth car repair shop. ALVIN and his son are both very polite, to the point people. I mainly dealt with Tony. He listened to all my problems, investigated each one of them thoroughly, communicated things back to me promptly and gave me good advice. At the end of the service, I walked away a confident driver knowing my car is now in good shape. Would highly recommend this place. Parking is a bit tricky at times since there are many car repair shops and too many cars there, but it's manageable.

I hate feeling like i'm getting taken advantage of, this is not the case here. They have always been super professional. I drive from Sunnyvale just to have him work on my cars.

I've always serviced my car at the dealership for the fact of feeling comfortable until I was introduced to Alvin's by my brother in law. My first experience was exceptional, I was able to drop of my car at night through the nigh owl drop box, Tony called me the following day to discuss the services he recommends, some other items they found and when to expect services to be completed. When I went to pick up my car they explained why repairs were made, the reason for why they recommended those repairs and what to expect next time around. Tony also showed me some of my old damaged parts that were replaced. Service is great, good prices, very friendly, they don't push unnecessary services that are not needed. I'm going to drop my car of for service today! Talk about communication! Tony called me two days in a row to give me updates on progress. He even offered to take my car across the street for a smog check. Service can't get better than this.

Alvin's is EXCELLENT! His son's are true professionals and their work and business ethics are one of the best out there in the industry. My father in law goes here for most of his repair work, and for my first experience I decided to bring my car in for a brake repair to fix what Firestone had broke but would not take responsibility for. Tony said that they will do a courtesy inspection first and let me know what was wrong before doing any work. When i got the call from them I was surprised as not only did they inspect it, but they fix my car and said it was no charge as it was just a minor adjustment that needed to be done. My second experience is just as great as Tony was kind enough to squeeze me in to their FULL schedule to fix my car's broken window relay. Needless to say, I was amazed by their honesty, courtesy, workmanship and also professionalism. I highly recommend them.

I have been a customer for more than 10 yrs when it was just Alvin and his brother Bob. Now it's Jay and Tony and they're both also great! They have been taking care of my cars from minor to major repairs and maintenance. My Avalon has 160K miles to date and I believe that it made this far because these mechanics did a great job on it every time. I have brought my cars to auto dealers before, paid a lot but problem persisted. Never happened at Alvin's. So save your time and money and trust these guys. They know what they're doing. I've always recommended Alvin's to my friends and families. Always make appointment though because they're very busy!

Brought my brother's car in for a tailgate repair, Anthony was very helpful, honest, and the price was fair. The repair was quick and the overall experience was very pleasant. If you are looking for a helpful, honest, and family owned shop with great customer care, this is the place to go.

I have been taking my car to Alvins for more than a year now. They are completely professional and do a great job. I would advice to make an appointment before you go since things gets busy.

I've been coming to Alvin's Auto since 1996 for my 94' Camry, 96' Camry, 01' Lexus, 05' Lexus and 09" Camry. My favorite 96' camry has 387,000 miles and still running like new. Why? It's all due to Alvin's, and Tony's, autoshop. What brings me back has always been their professionalism, honesty, superb work, and their very reasonable price unrivaled anywhere else. We moved from South Bay to the Central Valley, and I drive all my cars to Alvin, including my family members, for service regardless of the distance. (I've tried local autoshop in my area, but always had recurring engine issues and charged alot more. When my cars go to Alvin, the problem is fixed and only come back for maintenance). They do the job right the first time and never do unnecessary ad-ons. I've read a few of the reviews here especially the car that has a dent or scratch? All of my cars are not only well taken care of in this autoshop, but NEVER experience dents/scratches for almost 18 years. I also know there are specialized auto mechanics next door. My 2001 Lexus with 257,000 miles needed a new transmission and was sent next door, and Alvin made sure they did a good job. When I took my Lexus back for regular maintenance, Tony actually checked the transmission and had the transmission people check it again. It just needed some readjustment, which I really didn't notice anything, and the car ran even smoothly. I was very impressed. After all these years, I can't thank you enough for Alvin's Auto Center -- Willow Glen. Thank you so much!
